1.       Who are the most important characters in the film?  Also list the names of the actors playing these characters. (You may have to look these up online!) (15 points)
No
The Names of Actors
Characteristics
1
Erin Brockovich, Ed Masry, George, Donna Jensen, and lawyers for PG & E.
Erin Brockovich is someone who is an amateur, even though she is able to carry out her role well because she only has a perception if she has to do something useful for others. Because he was the main character, the conflict he faced was quite a lot, namely with his children, his girlfriend, his partner, his co-workers, Hinkley residents (his clients), his enemies (PG & E lawyers). Broadly speaking, Erin has a positive view of the conflict he faces.
2
Ed Masrya lawyer who has struggled to establish a law firm for 15 years, tends to take more consideration in winning the Hankley case. He tried to do rational action, not only using intuition like Erin. This is what underlies his collaboration with "great" lawyers from outside.
3
Erin's neighbor, this Harley Davidson maniac also acts as a girlfriend for Erin and caregivers for Erin's children. Although their romantic relationship is not united, they still establish good communication. George's conflict emphasized his despair in facing Erin's busyness.
4
one of the Hinkley residents who suffered from breast and uterine cancer, gave a lot of support to Erin to continue to fight in winning the Hinkley case. He is eager to try to take what has become his right from the PG & E company, namely the guarantee of a decent life.
5
shows the perception that what Erin & Hinkley want is out of bounds because the amount demanded is very large. However, it was also shown that, despite defending the name of the company and refuting any evidence against them, the lawyers did not want to take risks when Erin explicitly said that the drinks he had provided for the lawyers were taken from Hinkley.

3 .       What is this story about?  Be very detailed! (15 points)

On that day Erin Brockovich drove an old orange sedan on the road, suddenly at a crossroad the car was hit by a Jaguar.Erin finally asked Ed to be her lawyer. This problem was brought to court and Erin failed to win in court. In court, Erin told me that she had a debt of $ 17,000, 3 children, had been married twice, and had deposits in the bank of only $ 74. And how could she be able to pay compensation for a damaged car.As a result of failure in court, Erin then looked for job vacancies through newspapers. However, no one received. Then, the conflict arises when he must lose one of his neighbors where he usually entrusts his three children. Then, he went to Ed Masry and felt sorry for Erin. Finally, Erin worked at Massary and Vititoe as the archive manager. In this workplace, Erin is often underestimated by employees there, because the clothes are too dirty and the emotions of her tone are too high. One day he, when Erin was sleeping with her three children. He was shocked by the noise of the neighbor's motorbike, George, his neighbor, apparently secretly liked Erin. However, Erin is emotionally ignoring George.Conflict after conflict emerged. The latest conflict occurred when Erin was confronted with a case in which he saw Donna Jensen's medical record document and land dispute with PG & E (Pacific Gas & Electric Company). Finally Erin, came to Donna and she talked a lot with Donna about the matter. Then, he went to the University and asked one of the experts about Hexavalent Chromium.Hexavalent Chromium is a poison that is very dangerous and damages the environment, especially through water. Erin, then look for documents in the water laboratory. The conflict re-emerged, when Ed Masary fired Erin because he had skipped work for one week. Erin, went home. The bill piles up everywhere, he tries to find another job, on the other hand he gets closer to George. This new neighbor, managed to melt Erin's heart by becoming a "keeper" of her children.Erin did not accept the dismissal of Ed Masary, he then explained about the problem at hand. Erin was accepted to work again at Ed's firm, with a note that he had to complete the data about Hexavalent Chromium.Erin, diligently goes to Hinkley, California where the land is polluted. He went to the residents one by one and saw the people affected by the pollution: some had cancer, miscarriages even died.Erin's activities, became very busy. He talked back to Donna, that the house (Donna) and his land would be purchased for $ 250,000 by PG & E, but instead Elin asked Donna to file a lawsuit.Inner conflict reappeared, when Erin always came home at night and she was frightened by her son, Matthew (10) because of his work. Then, Erin asked Ed Masary to visit residents in Hinkley, California. Ed convinced the residents to use his services to sue PG & E for environmental pollution.Erin continued to look for evidence, ranging from carrying water samples, dead frogs and looking for other documents in the water laboratory.Conflict arose again, when Ed was doubtful whether he could win the lawsuit while PG & E was a large company and could be, using a better firm. Erin, convinced Ed.In court, Erin was able to demonstrate her capacity as an expert in speaking. And when, PG & E representatives meet with Massary & Vititoe. Erin, able to compile PG & E representatives so that this action, is able to make this class action action increasingly become. The conflict subsided a little, when the film's plot advanced to 9 months later. Erin, shared information about class action to the citizens. George is increasingly giddy with his unclear status in Erin's life. One day, the conflict between Erin and George appeared. George felt that he was only a babu, he asked Erin to quit his job. However, Erin refused. Finally George left Erin. The climax arose, when Ed without Erin's knowledge, he collaborated with other lawyers. Erin is angry at Ed. But, Ed tried to convince Erin. Then Erin left her office. The conflict subsided a little when Erin, getting a new car gift from Ed.After the conflict subsided, conflict arose again when people doubted Erin. Because Erin's task was replaced by a completely new lawyer, he didn't understand the case from the start.Erin tried to convince Ed. Ed went to the residents. He promised to fight, do the best for the citizens. Residents also agreed.Erin often came to the residents, residents welcomed openly the figure of Erin. Many residents agreed to the class action. Including a mysterious figure, Charles Embry, a former PG & E employee who was told to burn the document told Erin.
Conflict slightly, subside when Matthew's son (10) understands his mother's work. Then, George came back to Erin's house.
Conclusion (solution), Erin came to Donna. He came to give a solution, that the property would be paid $ 333 million, and each family would get $ 5 million. Donna cries in Erin's arms.
Finally, Massry & Vititoe became a big firm. As for Ed Masary, he was a highly respected lawyer.
At the end of the story, Erin was angry at Ed, then Ed gave Erin a check. And Erin who was still angry at Ed, was surprised by the value of Check $ 2 million. Erin who was once a single mother with 3 children (Matthew, Kattie, and Beth) and a lot of debt. Now being the most respected person and a lot of money because of his hard work. (*)

AFTER THE MOVIE:

4.       Did you like this movie?  Why or why not? (10 points)

yes of course, why? because I really like the story of this film where the main character Erin Brockovich is strong in character, always acts on the basis of intuition and conviction, never gives up, is brave to face risks, hard, smart to get along, quickly understand a problem, high social spirit , and always issue attitudes and actions in accordance with his conscience at that time. Although it tends to be brutal, on the other hand it also has a kind of lucky coin in dealing with its life problems because of that I feel that I took a lot of inspiration in this film.

5.       What rating would you give this movie? (10 points)

if I have a score of 1-100 I will give the value of this film is "90" because the main message of this film has a lot to do with how we establish communication with others. Not everyone gets the same communication treatment. We must understand the situation and conditions faced. If not, communication failure can happen and it will harm us personally.

6.       What spoilers might ruin the movie for viewers if you told them about it? (10 points)

Erin Brockovich is a single parent who has divorced twice and has 3 children, unemployed without a job. Desperately Erin tried to find a job but always failed to get it.Not only that, he lost in a lawsuit against a dolter in connection with a car accident that happened to him. No wonder Erin blamed her lawyer, Ed Masry, who failed to make her win in the lawsuit.Masry turned out to feel guilty about his client, so he gave Erin a job at his law firm. Even though Erin did not have experience in the field of law. So that the people in the law firm ignored it, let alone Erin's fashion tastes that were bad and like to speak harshly. But one day he accidentally found a Donna Jensen case to a giant company Pacific Gas & Electric or PG & E which would change his life. Actual claims are simply a refusal to sell land and houses which are also accompanied by a list of Donna Jensen's health checks. The company is secretly trying to buy a plot of land owned by Hinkley residents contaminated by haxavelent chromium, toxic and dangerous waste. Chromium contaminates ground water which is used for the daily needs of 300 Hinkley residents, as a result almost all of the people who inhabit the area are poisoned and suffer from dizziness, cancer, bone loss, miscarriages, respiratory infections, etc., even though the reality can only be seen 1 year later. In the midst of the difficulty of dividing time between work and the mother of her three children, Erin was called to defend the rights of settlers who had long experienced health problems due to the 6th level chromium waste. Based on that, together with the boss of his firm, Erin conducted an investigation in order to file lawsuits against PG & E companies. For almost 2 years he worked hard in his own way and through various obstacles and problems, until finally he won the biggest case in the United States, which was 333 million dollars, he himself got 2 million dollars plus another bonus.
7.       All movies teach a lesson (theme/moral).  What did you learn from this one? (10 points)

* The family is the mainThe first inspiration of Erin Brockovich's story is how she tried so much for her family. As a single parent, he felt he had to support his three children in such a way that they could live.Although it means that he must be willing to go here and there just to get some money so they can continue to live. At the beginning it was repeated that money in his account was very little. But Erin did not stop trying.* Believe InstinctsHe saw the file from Rosalind and felt odd. He even dared to ask Ed's permission to investigate it. At his own expense (at first). That's the next inspiration from Erin Brockovich's film.* Total in workOne thing I admire from Erin Brockovich is how she is very total at work. He was willing to work on the investigation for days. Even until he had to not meet his children for a while. The goal is one, to help citizens who are cheated by the big company. He uses his free time to do the job - hmmm. I have to learn a lot from here. Being professional - that's the inspiration of this film, and all paid off at the end of the film where Erin received a 2 million dollar bonus. * pengsan ** Smart CommunicationOne of the scenes that I like in Erin Brockovich's film is when she and Ed came to Rosalind and two other families. Erin succeeded in easily convincing that the 40% rate charged by Ed in representing the family was appropriate.Indeed, 40% seems too expensive, but when I ask him directly. Ed said that he bet here too. If it fails, he won't get anything. While other expenses have been spent. It was Erin's words that succeeded in making the family melted and finally agreed to the rate.Erin Brockovich is strong in character, always acts on the basis of intuition and conviction, never gives up, is brave to face risks, hard, smart to get along, quickly understand a problem, high social spirit , and always issue attitudes and actions in accordance with his conscience at that time. Although it tends to be brutal, on the other hand it also has a kind of lucky coin in dealing with its life problems.
